Mental Health Support
Verve City Church offers peer-led support groups for people who have mental health challenges and for their loved ones. These groups meet on Tuesdays at 7pm, and free childcare is available.
Anchor Hope | 2nd & 4th Tuesdays, 7-8:30pm
Anchor Hope Mental Health Support is a peer-led group that welcomes anyone experiencing any mental health challenges. The group offers space to process thoughts, feelings, and stressors together.
Intended as added support to traditional therapy, group meetings include relevant topics from both the Bible, the therapeutic community and current neuroscience.
Topics have included: self-care; cycles and triggers; God in the midst of mental health struggles; managing stressors; and God is bigger than our weakness.
Circles of Hope | 3rd Tuesdays, 7-9pm
Circles of Hope is for the people who love someone with mental illness. The group combines support with practical skills and relevant information to help families in what is a difficult journey.
Topics have included: mindfulness; validation; boundary mapping; and 10 steps to loving unconditionally.
