Ahab is the kind of man who had every opportunity to rise but kept choosing to fall. He had power, position, and the ear of a nation. He even had moments where God broke through the noise and gave him a shot at redemption. But Ahab never led with courage. He led with compromise. He let fear drive him, let Jezebel speak for him, let prophets die in his silence. He wasn’t evil in the cartoon villain sense. He was worse: he was passive when it mattered most. Ahab teaches us that you don’t have to be the loudest voice in the room to wreck a generation. Sometimes all it takes is the refusal to stand up when everything around you is falling down.
